The olive oil industry in Brazil

The production of olive oil is a profitable business and an environmentally friendly enterprise. The simplicity of orchard management and the natural process for obtaining the olive oil indicate the success of the project.

We will work with an orchard of between 7,000 and 35,000 trees, depending on the size of the investment raised.

Low investment for the acquisition of land in southern Brazil, accompanied by the high sales value of olive oil in the country (85% imported from Europe) make the development of this agricultural industry in Brazil a profitable investment.

We want to convert this profitable opportunity into a social business, assisting in the education of children and youth from poor communities.

The production of olive oil in southern Brazil has been gaining ground throughout the country. Although today production in the Brazilian federal state of Rio Grande do Sul (on the border with Uruguay) results in less than 5% of the demand for olive oil in Brazil, the planted area and production of olives increased more than 20 times in the region during the past 10 years.

With a climate favourable for the cultivation of olive trees, which need low temperatures in winter and well-defined seasons, Rio Grande do Sul has the largest cultivated area in Brazil.
